Jean Rabe

Jean Rabe is a Fantasy and Sci-Fi author/editor and lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A former journalist, she has written numerous bestselling novels for TSR/WOTC in their Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, and Dungeons & Dragons worlds. She has also sold stories to numerous anthologies, Star Wars settings and for DAW Books. She’s recently released a True Crime novel with legendary trial lawyer, F. Lee Bailey titled “When The Husband Is the Suspect ”. Jean helps develop the seminar schedule at Gen Con and sits on many of the panels also. I was one of the 300 who contributed to her famous “open call” story on editing. It was a nightmare for her, but a positive and encouraging episode for me. The insight and experience she grants, as well as her positive influence and active ecouragement have helped many a writer including myself.

Michael Stackpole

Michael A. Stackpole is a New York Times Bestselling Author of Science Fiction and Fantasy best known for his Star Wars and Battletech books. He has worked as a designer of computer and fantasy role-playing games. Mike also writes and publishes an online newsletter titled The Secrets, which offers tips, tricks, and tidbits about writing (focusing on, but not limited to, science fiction and fantasy). It is aimed towards the serious writer, and includes information about getting books published, but casual writers can certainly benefit as well. He also teaches a series of workshops at Gen Con all of which I have taken twice. I own "The Secrets - Rules of Writing" and they along with the workshops have been invaluable help.
